Leonardo DiCaprio

“The most beautiful man on earth!” declared Kate Winslet after filming Titanic. However, no one can say that Leonardo DiCaprio just gets by on his looks. Even though he never studied acting, his interpretation of Toby attracted more attention than Robert De Niro, his stepfather in the movie This Boy’s Life.

In playing the mentally handicapped brother of Johnny Depp in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, he showed that his success was no mere accident, and that he was able to play all types of roles. He had just barely gotten the part, as the director originally thought he was too handsome for the role.

Leonardo DiCaprio was born to a hippy family on November 11, 1974 in Los Angeles. His mother was from German origins, and his father from Italian origins. Although his parents’ marriage ended shortly after Leonardo’s first birthday, the family stayed closely connected. Even today, Leonardo’s parents actively participate in building their child’s career. His mother manages his finances and his father participates in writing his screenplays. In an interview, Leonardo once said of his parents:

“Whatever I did would be something they’d already done. I mean, my dad would welcome it if I got a nose ring.”

The secret to his success, his unwavering confidence, is revealed in this statement—the support of his parents.

His beauty, his power of transformation and his force of persuasion in interpreting characters can only be explained by astrology. More precisely, at the moment of his birth, Venus, planet of beauty, is found in a powerful embrace with the Sun in Scorpio. This is where his angelic beauty and diabolical attraction come from. The Moon, symbol of feelings, is located in the sign of artistically gifted Libra, which indicates an innate sense of aesthetics and art. Powerful and secretive Pluto, planet of metamorphoses, dominates the sky near the Ascendant and reveals his capacity for transformation. The close contact between Mercury, planet of reason, and eccentric Uranus fated him to be wild, restless and full of humor. The influence of confused Neptune, located in the house of education (3rd), explains why, as a schoolboy, Leonardo preferred to entertain his classmates rather than do his homework. He almost always copied his work, especially his math homework. Regarding this period of his life, he once said:

“School, I never truly got the knack of. I could never focus on things I didn’t want to learn. I used to, like, take half of the school and do break-dancing skits with my friend in front of them at lunchtime.”

Yet his concentration problems at school did not in any way disrupt his dreams of being an actor. He made his television debut in the series Romper Room when he was five years old. He was, however, quickly expelled from the set because of his uncontrollable behavior. In reality, he could not pacify his volcanic Scorpio energy, which sought to free itself by overturning cameras and mirrors.

At the age of twelve, Leonardo DiCaprio was sure that he wanted to become an actor and pushed his father to find him an agent who would introduce him to the world of film and oversee his career. He suffered several rejections. One agent claimed that Leonardo had no hope on the silver screen unless he changed his hair style as well as his name into something like “Lenny Williams”. Leonardo refused this suggestion because his parents were attached to his name. In fact, his mother was standing in front of one of Leonardo da Vinci’s pictures when the baby she was carrying moved for the first time. Therefore, Leonardo received his name when he was still inside of his mother. Nothing could push him to take on another name and another identity. When the time came, Leonardo and his father found an agent who liked his hairstyle. This was the beginning of his career. At the age of fourteen, he appeared in many commercials, several episodes of Santa Barbara, educational films such as “How to Deal With a Parent Who Takes Drugs”. This was good for a beginning, but not enough to become popular.

However, popularity was not long in coming. The blonde boy with blue eyes left critics and audience breathless in This Boy’s Life and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? His path towards the stars was already cut out. When he was just 19 years old, he was nominated for an Oscar for his second film. However, this did not happen by chance. 1993This took place in 1993, when the stars were on his side. More precisely, Jupiter, planet of happiness, crossed his Ascendant and thus marked the beginning of twelve years of positive changes in his life. In addition, by going through his house of self (1st), it activated Pluto, planet of metamorphoses. It then touched the Moon, symbol of popularity, and then unpredictable Uranus and lively Mercury. For its part, the North Node in transit activated his natal North Node.

However, Leonardo DiCaprio would only become a superstar and icon for millions of teenagers after his roles in Rome + Juliet and Titanic, in 1996 and 1997. He then became known globally. The film Titanic was nominated for fourteen Oscars. It won eleven of these, including the Oscars for best film and best director. Although DiCaprio did not receive the Oscar for best actor, this did not diminish his popularity. Much to the contrary, this created his image as a romantic lover, and he became the most sought-after person for parties across the world. Again, none of this happened by chance. In fact, in 1997 Jupiter transited his house of creativity, love and parties (5th). This is when unpredictable Uranus came into play while Saturn, the enforcer of destiny, traversed his house of the public (7th) and allowed him to be perceived as a serious actor.

Insiders confirm that his list of romantic conquests includes the names of many well known women such as Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigová, Mariah Carey, Demi Moore, Carmen Electra, Helena Christensen, Bijou Phillips, Baby Spice, Gisele Bündchen and perhaps Kate Winslet. Even so, this list also stretches to include other less known or unknown names. Talking about his intense and chaotic love life, he says:

“Right now I’m just trying to maintain happiness—that’s all I really care about. Anyway, when you’re my age and your hormones are kicking in, there’s not much besides sex that’s on your mind.”

A rather sincere statement, considering the typical Scorpio obsession with love and sex.

Some of his conquests publicly trash his romantic talents and affirm that he was truly bad in bed. Others number all the places in which they made love to him. One of these women said: “In bed, he is like the Titanic. With him, you can only sink!” Astrology confirms that Leonardo is both a gentle and passionate lover. The Moon, planet of feelings, is found in the sign of gentle and refined Libra, but also in a powerful embrace with boiling Pluto. For its part, the gentle embrace between the Sun, symbol of the ego, and Venus, planet of love, takes place in the sign of erotic and passionate Scorpio.

Whatever the case, it has long been known that fame and disparagement go hand in hand. It is no longer a secret that simple mortals make up lies or half-truths when trying to warm themselves under the rays of fame held by others. Witnesses who went to parties with Leonardo DiCaprio affirm that he behaved like an immature child who switched the light on and off so as to push guests to leave. According to them, when a woman tried to stop him, he slapped her on the hand and continued to turn the lights on and off, until the arrival of Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn’s daughter.

However, it is precisely his childish appearance and perhaps his childish behavior, resulting from his need to play, that allowed the young Leonardo DiCaprio to easily play the roles of adult men or boys younger than himself. 2006When Jupiter in transit arrived in his sign in 2006, his star shined even more strongly in the sky of the cinema. The Golden Globe and Film Critics Association nominated him twice in the category of best actor for the films Blood Diamond and The Departed, which is an exceptionally rare honor for an actor. Thanks to his rare talent and his ability to transform himself, Leonardo DiCaprio worked at full steam. In 2008, he was busy with three film projects. He is preparing to play the role of Theodore Roosevelt in the 2010 film The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt.

Under the influence of his parents, former flower children, or perhaps the influence of Uranus, ruler of ecologically aware Aquarius, in close contact with Mercury, planet of reason, Leonardo DiCaprio actively participates in campaigns to protect the natural world. In order to set an example for others, he began by sweeping up in front of his own door. He travels on commercial flights, drives a hybrid car and heats his home with solar energy. He actively participates in protecting the planet from the effects of global warming.

However, acting remains his greatest love. He says on the subject:

“The best thing about acting is that I get to lose myself in another character and actually get paid for it. It’s a great outlet. As for myself, I’m not sure who I am. It seems that I change every day.”

We hope that this will only be the consequence of his maturation. The stars reveal that 2008, 2009 and 2010 will be fertile years for him. Later, from 2010 to 2015, Saturn, the enforcer of destiny, will traverse his house of self (1st) and his sign, putting his maturity to the test. He will probably make good choices at that moment and will use the help of the stars in 2016 and 2017 to rise again from his ashes and charm the public yet again.
